Art exhibition in Whitstable to feature Sorcery & Seduction

The SOIL art exhibition at the Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable features artwork of many disciplines, all with their own interpretation of the word ‘soil.’ Using the opera heroines showcased on the CD Sorcery & Seduction as examples of ‘soil’ in opera, (here defined as a verb: to damage, sully, or stain,) my contribution to the exhibit shows how a woman’s reputation, ‘pure’ or ‘soiled,’ affects her fate…at least in the opera!

The SOIL exhibition runs from 21-27 January 2015. I will be performing extracts from Sorcery & Seduction on Friday the 23rd and Tuesday the 27th, both at 1 p.m.
